Generating Revenue From Patents
The value of all U.S. generated intellectual property is said to be approximately $5.5 trillion, equal to nearly 40% of the U.S. economy. However, for many companies the cost of obtaining and maintaining intellectual assets - in particular patents - may be a huge waste of corporate resources, largely because the companies fail to act strategically to manage and monetize their patents. Follow these basic ground rules to capture the value in your patents and transform them from useless, dust-covered inventory into sources of substantial revenue.
