SBI Mid-Season MLS Newcomer of the Year: Saer Sene
Saer Sene was brought to the New England Revolution to do one thing: score goals. Halfway though his first MLS season, it's mission accomplished. The 25-year-old French striker and former Bayern Munich reserve has bagged eight goals in 15 appearances for the Revolution, providing a physically imposing presence for Jay Heaps' squad up top. Sene was voted by SBI staff members as the top newcomer to MLS thus far in 2012, beating out a field that included Vancouver right back Lee Young-Pyo and Colorado midfielder Jaime Castrillon.
