SBI MLS Rookie of the Month: Ryan Meara
When a rookie goalkeeper can rattle off an undefeated month, it is definitely cause to take notice. But when a goalkeeper does so by putting together strong game after strong game, all you can do is stand up and applaud the kind of month Ryan Meara just had. Not only did Meara help the New York Red Bulls go 4-0-1 during the month of May, he did so by making coutnless outstanding saves, and did so despite the fact New York was missing key defensive starters all month.
