The Professional Career Program (APCP) gives participants an opportunity to work in one of six career fields within in the Department of Acquisition. Nine federal agencies have the same Program. During a three year period there is training available as a Contract Specialist Program Manager, Systems Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Logistician or Information Technology Specialist. Starting of as a GS-7 within three years your salary could triple. Candidates who are part of this program receive certifications within their career field recognized across the Federal government, as well as participating in leadership and management training.
